My popular “InDesign to ePub Seminar” is coming to Boulder, Colorado! If you’re working in InDesign and have an interest in making ePubs for Apple iBooks and other reader devices (like the nook and Kindle), this might be just the training you’re looking for!

Check out the seminar page at MOGO Media for all the nitty-gritty information and to register. Registration links will be added soon.

I hope you’ll join me at Boulder Digital Arts on July 14th for this all-day in-depth seminar. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions you might have. Seating at BDA is very limited, so don’t wait!

If you’re in the Toronto, ON area, we’ve also just added a stop in your city! Visit the MOGO Media site for more information.

This week, I’ll be talking about one of my newest obsessions: WordPress. I’ve found this open source software to be quite fun and more than a little bit addicting. Sometimes working with WP can be a bit daunting, but I just see that as part of the challenge. I’m not a coder, by any means, but I’ve found digging into WP’s code to tweak functions and fonts and colors to be intriguing.

Lots of sites (like ericagamet.com) are using WordPress at their core. You’d be surprised that many of them don’t look like blogs…because they’re not! With a little bit of tweaking and re-arranging, a WordPress site can be used as a Content Management System (CMS) to look just like a “regular” website.

Come to my free hour-long seminar to find out what WordPress is, how people are using it beyond blogging, and ways to customize a WordPress site to your liking. I won’t be getting all technical at this seminar…don’t want to scare anyone away. I hope you’ll join me for my casual chat about WordPress.

I had a great time presenting at the Colorado Mac Users Group. I spoke about using Apple’s Keynote software for more than simple business presentations. I showed how to use the software to create self-running multimedia presentations, like those you might find at a trade show booth.

The COMUG group is a great bunch of Mac-minded people. Please check them out online if you get the chance and attend a meeting if you can.
